Our Story

Couple of Quacks Farm is a Maine family dairy out of Cape Elizabeth. It was started in the summer of 2018 by two quacky millennials looking for meaningful, sustaining work.

After experiences on organic farms in New Hampshire, Idaho, and Vermont, Peter and Florence started their own herd with Hope, the gal pictured here, and hope, the strong feeling that good things come from love, hard work, and just a little craziness.

Couple of Quacks Farm aims to provide delicious food while building a community that cares for the earth, the animals, and each other.

Over the course of the next year, we aim to expand our herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, and establish a flock of Khaki Campbell laying ducks.

As newcomers in the Maine agricultural environment, we're grateful to the family, friends, and neighbors who have already made this caprine adventure possible. We continually look towards our mentors in order to better provide for our animals, our customers, and the people of Maine.

Above all, we'll be prioritizing the sort of face-to-face local engagement on which small local farms and communities thrive.
